We are the only private WaterSki facility based out of SoFlo!
Our site is 50 acres of the finest freshest water you will ski on. We are protected from the prevailing wind and the lake is always smooth and perfect. During the summer the water temperature is 88 degrees fahrenheit and during the coldest winter months, it hardly ever dips below 70 degrees.

Ann McGinnis (Co-Owner)
Ann McGinnis was born and raised in the UK. She is the former British, European and KP Masters Champion in slalom, tricks and jump. She learned to ski age 10 with her parents on the River Medway in England. The family loved the sport and would break the ice in the winter to ski! She became a British Waterski Team member and competed around the world representing Great Britain. She moved to Florida in 1984, in search of warmer waters! She and JP have owned and operated McGinnis WaterSki since 1994 and love every moment and aspect of teaching people and driving the boat to competition standards. Go take a lesson from Ann she makes it fun and easy!
J.P. McGinnis (Co-Owner)
J.P. McGinnis has been immersed in the professional waterski world from a very young age. His father John, started the ski school in 1974 when JP was knee high to a grasshopper. Sister Molly and JP learned much at an early age, not just how to ski, but the process of learning to ski. JP was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His family have been involved in waterskiing for over 50 years. His mother and father taught him to ski when he was 4 years old. He is a great instructor and will motivate you to ski your best. He loves to ski and you may see him zipping through the slalom course, or doing hip-hop flippity-flop knee boarding shannigans during his free time. He is also a multi rated aircraft pilot/mechanic (A&P), including commercial helicopter license, he has flown over 7000 hours in FAR 121 & 135 operations.
